Cindy Wolfe Ash, CPM®, Vice President – Operations
Cindy Wolfe
Ash
is responsible for operations in the Southern Division, which
includes San Antonio,
Corpus Christi, South Texas,
Houston and Mississippi.
She has been associated with the multi-family industry
for over 20 years, with extensive experience in new construction
of Class A and tax credit properties. During her career, she has
been involved in the lease up of over 11,000 units.
Additionally, Cindy was associated with a large third party
management company for 13 years and supervised 12,000 units
located in four states with product ranging from rehab
turnaround to Class A. Ms. Wolfe also holds the National
Compliance Professional designation.
Steve Roach, Vice President –
Operations
Steven Roach oversees the Western Division, which includes
Dallas,
Oklahoma, Tennessee,
Arkansas, Missouri,
New Mexico, Arizona
and California.
With more than 25 years of experience in the multi-family
industry, Steve has held executive positions with several large
companies including the position of President of BH Management
with responsibility of over 34,000 units in 17 states. He has a
very solid working knowledge of value add rehabs and the
management of all classes of assets. Steve is a graduate of the
University
of Connecticut,
Past President of the Apartment Association of Tarrant County,
past NAA Certified CAM/CAPS Instructor, experienced speaker at
the Annual
TAA Education
Conference and is currently on the Advisory Board of Multifamily
Pro Magazine.
Grant Berkey, CPM®, Vice President
–
Operations
Grant Berkey
is responsible for operations in the Eastern Division, which
includes Austin, Central Texas
and Florida.
He is also responsible for Capstone’s Commercial Division, the
Homeowners Association Division, as well as the oversight of
Capstone Member Services, LLC. He has been associated with the
management industry and Capstone since 1993. Grant’s experience
includes the supervision of a variety of property types: new
construction lease-ups, value adding rehabs, affordable and tax
credit communities. In addition to his CPM® designation, he is
both a licensed Real Estate Broker and a Property and Casualty
Agent. Mr. Berkey is
a graduate of Texas Tech University.
Sam Shannon, Regional Vice President -
Commercial Division
Sam Shannon
is Regional Vice President of Commercial Management & Leasing
for Capstone Real Estate Services. Her primary role is to
maximize portfolio performance, through attentive facility
management, positive tenant relations as well as leasing for
projects which include office, retail, mixed use developments,
vertical mixed use developments and industrial assets.
Additionally, she directs related commercial construction and
capital projects for buildings we manage. Sam joined Capstone in
2005 and began her commercial real estate career in 1999.
Ms. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master
of Applied Geography from Southwest Texas
State
University
and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Texas.
Joy
Lamb, CPM®, Regional Vice President
Joy Lamb has been associated with the management industry since
1988. She has supervised Class A properties in both
Austin
and San Antonio
since the early 1990’s, including the lease-up of 12 new
properties totaling 2,650 units. In 2003, Joy served as the
President of the Austin Apartment Association. In addition, Ms.
Lamb is active in the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)
and has served as a delegate to both the Texas and National Apartment Associations.
Jim
Whitehead, CPM®, Regional Vice President
Jim Whitehead has operated multi-family and
commercial properties from coast to coast in a 30 year property
management career. His experience encompasses conventionally
financed, subsidized and condominium communities. Jim
has operated portfolios for fee clients, syndicators and REITS.
He is the President of the Apartment Association of Tarrant
County, the fourth largest apartment association in the country.
Jim also serves as VP at Large to the Texas Apartment Association
and is a past Executive Committee member. He is also a delegate
to the National Apartment Association.
Clint Thomas,
Regional Vice President
Clint Thomas
has served in the property management industry over 20 years,
with extensive experience managing Class A, B, C, garden
style, high rise, town homes, major renovations, lease ups, tax
credit, bond, and various affordable housing. Clint has
directly or indirectly supervised over 37,000 in 12 states
within his tenure in multifamily. He has held the
positions Regional Vice President, Regional Manager, District
Manager, Regional Trainer, Marketing Director, and Property
Manager. Mr. Thomas is a Certified Occupancy
Specialist and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State
University with a major in
Management.
James C. Weissmiller, CPM®, Regional Vice
President
Jim
Weissmiller has served in the property management industry for
over 23 years with extensive experience in managing Class A, B,
C and mixed-use properties from coast to coast.
Jim's prevalent experience includes new lease-ups, major
renovations, military housing and tax credit properties.
He is Past President of the El Paso Apartment Association and
West Texas IREM Chapter and Past Chair of the Tri-County
Division of the California Apartment Association which has the
largest membership throughout the CAA network. Jim has
also served as a delegate to the Texas Apartment Association. He is a
licensed real estate broker in Texas
and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Debbie Wiatrek,
Regional Manager – San Antonio and
Brownsville
Debbie Wiatrek has been associated with the multi-family
industry for over 15 years with extensive experience in new
construction of Class A, renovations and bond properties. During
her career, she has been involved in the lease up of
over 2000 units. Additionally, Debbie has supervised
properties in Florida, Austin, Houston, New Braunfels and San Antonio with product
ranging from Class A to value added rehabs. Mrs. Wiatrek is a
CAPS designate and will have her final certificate by the end of
2007.
Clay Klatt, COS,
Regional Manager – West Texas
Clay Klatt has been associated
with property management since 1997 and with Capstone since
2004. Through many
successful experiences, Clay has a clear understanding of the
housing market, and he is dedicated to exceeding his owners’
expectations by continuously striving to optimize their assets,
thus affecting the bottom line.
He has directly and indirectly supervised thousands of
multi-family units throughout Texas including major
rehab projects, affordable housing projects, and new
construction lease up projects.
Mr. Klatt has a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree from Texas
Tech
University.
